Accessibility Policy

Effective Date: 20th May 2025

 

1. Purpose

SubMastery is committed to ensuring an inclusive learning environment by providing a defined process for receiving and processing requests for allowances from candidates with special needs. This policy supports candidates who require accommodations due to language, culture, literacy, disability, or other relevant circumstances, enabling them to complete examination activities without disadvantage or risk.

 

2. Scope

This policy applies to all learners enrolled in SubMastery courses and assessments who identify as having special needs and seek accommodations or dispensation to support fair access to learning and examination.

3. Types of Accommodations

Accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may include but are not limited to:

  • Additional time for exams or assessments

  • Use of translation devices or dictionaries

  • Adjusted exam formats or instructions

  • Other reasonable adjustments based on the candidate’s individual needs

Please note that SubMastery does not currently provide assistive devices or full language translation services but will evaluate requests for reasonable accommodations within available resources.

4. Request Process

Candidates seeking accommodations must submit a request by emailing support@Submastery.com with the subject line: “Special Needs Accommodation Request”

The request should include:

  • Full name and contact information

  • Details of the course or exam involved

  • Description of the special need or circumstance

  • Any supporting documentation or evidence, if available

 

5. Review and Response Process

  • All accommodation requests are reviewed confidentially by the SubMastery support team and relevant stakeholders.

  • SubMastery aims to acknowledge receipt of the request within 1 business day.

  • A full response regarding the decision or any further information required will be provided within 3-7 business days of the request.

  • If additional documentation or discussion is needed, SubMastery will communicate the requirements promptly.

  • Once a decision is made, the candidate will be informed of the accommodations approved or the reasons for denial.

  • In cases where the accommodation affects exam scheduling or delivery, SubMastery will work with the candidate to make necessary arrangements.

 

6. Confidentiality

Information provided in accommodation requests is handled with strict confidentiality and used solely to determine appropriate support.

 

7. Limitations

SubMastery reserves the right to decline requests that:

  • Lack sufficient documentation or justification

  • Would compromise the integrity or fairness of the assessment

  • Are not feasible within SubMastery’s resources
